Awesome Kong has been released by TNA.
The two-time Knockouts Champion – real name Kia Stevens – confirmed her departure on Twitter, tweeting that she was leaving with her head held high:
My time this round in TNA was fun. Time for me to move on to other things. #Released #HeadHeldHigh

Her release comes on the heels of a physical altercation with fellow Knockout Reby Sky last week during TNA’s UK tour. She was sent home from the tour, but her TNA status was up in the air until today.
Stevens had most recently returned to TNA in January 2015 after five years away from the company. Late last year, she debunked retirement rumors by saying that she would continue to wrestle, but only if she reached a new deal with TNA.
