Top independent promotion Women Superstars Uncensored will be teaming up with the guys at Combat Zone Wrestling early next year for a few shows, according to a CZW press release.
The CZW event on January 12th will feature a WSU match, and on February 9th the two promotions will hold a double event in Voorhees, New Jersey, with WSU’s “An Ultraviolent Affair” followed by CZW’s 14th Anniversary Show. LuFisto vs Mercedes Martinez in a Falls Count Anywhere match has already been announced for the WSU half of the event, with more announcements expected soon.
Thoughts: WSU has long been one of the best places for women’s hardcore wrestling, having held some groundbreaking and brutal matches in its short history. CZW, while certainly a promotion that polarizes opinion across the wrestling world, has a large and loyal fanbase, a sound business model and some excellent wrestling, and this exposure can only be a good thing for WSU.
