Former WWE Divas Champion turned self-defense instructor Eve Torres was a guest on Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family earlier today and discussed how women can stay safe using defense technqiues.
Eve, who is the head trainer at Gracie Women Empowered, spoke about the reasons women may get attacked, how to avoid being attacked and explained the importance of why women should learn self-defense manoeuvres.
“I firmly believe that it doesn’t matter what a woman looks like, every woman is an equal target in terms of where this world is today”, said Eve, regarding the shocking statistic that nearly one in three women will experience violence against them in their lifetime.
Eve continued: “Everyone is at risk, and that’s an important thing to recognize.”
Away from the serious nature of her message, Eve even tweeted a picture of her with her “favorite bad guy”, fiancé Rener Gracie:
