Mia Yim is victorious in her return to an IMPACT ring as she achieves the pinfall for her team in a six-Knockouts tag team bout. Yim teamed up with Jordynne Grace and Taya Valkyrie to take on the team of Deonna Purrazzo, Savannah Evans, and the Knockouts World Champion Tasha Steelz.
Last week, it was confirmed that there will be a first coming up for the Knockouts at Slammiversary with a Queen of the Mountain match. Steelz wasn’t too happy with the choices in the match that were selected by Gail Kim. Steelz wanted her insurance policy Evans to take the last spot but she chose Yim as all five competitors (also including Grace, Purrazzo, and Chelsea Green) in that match are former Knockout World Champions.
As for the six-Knockouts tag team bout for this week, the final moments of the match began to break down. Valkyrie hits Pandemonium on Evans who would then Eat Defeat by Yim. Yim got the three count on Evans and would look impressive weeks before Slammiversary.
Elsewhere on IMPACT! there was a Locker Room Talk segment with the Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The Influence. Havok & Rosemary would appear saying that The Influence still haven’t defeated them. However, The Influence says that Havok needs to start winning matches before Decay can even be considered for a title opportunity.
Moments later, Masha Slamovich made her way to the ring and made short work of Shawna Reed with her Snoplow finisher. The lights went out and Havok appeared. Havok and Slamovich end the segment face to face.
Maria Kanellis Bennett was also speared by her own husband after a men’s tag team bout on this week’s episode.
