Paige vs. Naomi – Main Event (Jun. 17, 2014)
Naomi was one of the most athletic women on the roster, even back in 2014. She wasn’t as polished as she is today, but her move set still stood out. Paige was one of the first women to put over her unorthodox offense.
The two worked a handful of matches that month, including a title match at Money in the Bank. This hidden gem from “Main Event” is possibly the best one because they were given plenty of time to showcase their chemistry together. It proved to be instrumental for both women.
Naomi developed into a better worker from then on, and Paige proved again she could deliver a good match with an opponent who was less experienced. It helped that they had enough time to work a slow pace and get all of Naomi’s spots in too.
