ONE TO WATCH: LA ROSA NEGRA

Who is she?: A relative unknown this time last year, La Rosa Negra has been making waves in the American independent scene over the past twelve months. Competing against some of the top female wrestlers in the country in promotions such as Shine and Pro Wrestling Syndicate, La Rosa Negra is poised to make a huge impact in 2015.

Her story so far: This Puerto Rico native got her start in Carlos Colon’s promotion World Wrestling Council, where she won the Women’s Championship on three occasions. After honing her craft in WWC, as well as IWA Puerto Rico, La Rosa made her way to the states, competing for such promotions such as National Wrestling Alliance, Pro Wrestling Syndicate and Full Impact Pro, among others. She even managed to capture the Women’s title in both PWS and Ring Warriors, defending against the likes of Mia Yim, Taeler Hendrix and Angelina Love. La Rosa’s biggest break came when she joined the SHINE roster, where she has gotten to compete against some of the best in the world, and has put on some very impressive matches, including a SHINE Title match against Ivelisse at a FIP event.

Why we chose her: La Rosa is a wrestler that falls under the category “Wrestlers You Should Know, But You Don’t”. One of the most athletically gifted female wrestlers in the scene, La Rosa mixes high flying offense with explosive American Strong Style and her MMA and Boxing training, in a unique hybrid that is all her own. Also, she has a ring entrance that has to be seen to believe. It’s only a matter of time before we see La Rosa make a splash in promotions like SHIMMER and WSU, at the rate she’s going.
