AJ Lee has broken her post-WWE silence, commenting for the first time since her departure from the company was announced on Friday.
This afternoon, AJ tweeted a message to her fans, thanking them for her support and encouraging them to pursue their dreams. Accompanying the message was a simple photo of a pair of Converse shoes, her choice of wrestling boots:

AJ is said to still be under contract with the WWE, but both parties have agreed to let her run out the length of it. This would explain the WWE’s wording in saying that AJ was “retiring from in-ring competition” with the WWE.
