Details are emerging on a shooting incident that took place this afternoon in the parking lot outside of the WWE Performance Center.
PWInsider is reporting in the incident, which resulted in the shooting of a man who had been turning up on WWE property continuously for the past month due to his “fixation” on a female WWE performer.
The suspect, who was most recently arrested on August 24th, appeared on site today and was “acting deranged and was observed holding what appeared to be a knife.” Two plainclothes officers responded to the WWE’s call. The report states that the individual charged at one of the detectives and assaulted him. When he didn’t respond to requests to desist, he was shot once. He is said to now be in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
PWInsider also revealed that this was the third involvement authorities had had with the suspect and that the WWE had taken out an injunction to keep him off their property, but he had not yet been served with it.
