Bayley‘s first challengers may be two of NXT’s fastest rising stars.
The Wrestling Observer (via Lords of Pain) is reporting that plans have the new NXT Women’s Champion taking on Dana Brooke first, with Eva Marie taking up the challenge afterwards.
The report states that there is a desire behind the scenes to “validate” Eva Marie by making her Women’s Champion and crafting a story around her proving her critics wrong.
Speculation has Dana facing off with Bayley at the next NXT TakeOver event on October 7th and Eva getting her shot at NXT TakeOver: London on December 16th.
NXT holds its next set of television tapings on September 10th.
