Nikki Bella‘s ring return may have just suffered a setback.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Nikki, following a neurologist visit on Tuesday, has learned that the bulging discs in her neck have not gone down, despite dedicated physical therapy. She is being instructed to continue with physical therapy for seven weeks before getting another MRI. If her condition hasn’t improved by then, she will have to explore surgery options.
The report also states that the injury is being blamed on Nikki’s finisher, the Rack Attack, which places a lot of stress on her spine. It is being said she’s been advised to stop using the move upon her return.
Nikki had been optimistic about her prospects a few weeks ago, telling fans that she would likely know her return date soon.
UPDATE: Nikki has confirmed the report, tweeting that she won’t know her status until the end of January:
Yes it's true ? End of January I will know my destiny…Till then…All I can do is…STAY FEARLESS! N ??? #FearlessNikki #BellaSTRONG #DOTY
