12 More WWE Women Who Should Have Won A Specific Title – Part Two

Jinny – NXT UK Women’s Championship

On the first list, Piper Niven (Doudrop) was representing one option from the NXT UK roster that should have been champion. Jinny joins that short list of women who really should have obtained gold during the brand’s operation. She had the chance to defeat both Kay Lee Ray and Meiko Satomura when both were champions. Jinny could have taken the title from either woman but especially KLR after NXT UK came back from its pandemic hiatus. She oozes charisma and would have done exceptionally well as champion.

The pandemic stop of NXT UK drastically changed the course of the brand and now it has ended waiting for NXT Europe to relaunch. Jinny should be on the top of that list to become champion.

Dana Brooke – Raw Women’s Championship

Dana Brooke is a prime example of someone who has never been in the top championship picture but was given the perfect moment to do so. When Brooke came to the main roster she did so with Emma, however, the team from NXT would immediately be disbanded when Emma went out with an injury. This left Brooke by herself.

Dana was put with Charlotte Flair as her protege and worked that angle perfectly. However, when it was time for her to turn on Charlotte after being regulated to her abuse consistently, WWE never fully pulled the trigger on the feud. Of course, there’s always time for Dana to become champion still…Triple H give her the opportunity!

Nikki Bella – SmackDown Women’s Championship

Another one on this list most likely will be an unpopular opinion, but Nikki Bella winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship would have elevated her legacy in the business. This would have all been a possibility if her neck injury did not take her out of the ring and shortened her time in the ring. As a member of the infamous “SmackDown Six” when the brand split was introduced with a Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship…Nikki was certainly rejuvenated to the fans with unforgettable feuds involving Carmella, Natalya, and Maryse.

Though the feuds Nikki had during this time weren’t around the title picture, if she were to have won the SmackDown Women’s Championship it may have put more respect on her name as a future Hall of Famer. She is recognized but also criticized for being the longest reigning Divas Champion just to surpass the record of AJ Lee. Having another title reign separate from that would have done her career justice.

The last three on the list are tag teams so each entry is considered one –

Naomi & Lana – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships

Realistically, this would have been Lana’s best bet to win a championship in WWE. She was far from considered a viable contender for a singles competitor and when she was put into tag teams, first with Natalya, and then with Lana there was hope for her. She was put on TV weekly and was regulated into being put through the announce table by Nia Jax over and over (and over) again.

A payoff never really happened for Lana and it would have also been nice for Naomi to win her first tag team championship here by helping build Lana up in the process. They should have become champs on Raw by defeating Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

Fire & Desire – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships

Fire & Desire was one of the original teams that were vying for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships that were introduced in 2019. At the Elimination Chamber event in 2019 inside the steel structure, six teams competed to become the inaugural champ. At least five of those teams were relatively established ahead of time. It made complete sense for Sasha Banks and Bayley to become the first champions but Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were the last team to be eliminated from the chamber match. That impressive showing plus the dynamic of Fire &Desire should have awarded them future gold. With where we are at now, Sonya still has yet to capture her first title in WWE while Mandy is the current NXT Women’s Champion.

Mandy was also in a tag team with Dana Brooke prior to being sent to NXT. Although this proved to be successful for Mandy’s career, there is still the haunting fact that another tag team was broken up for a division that has been flattened.

The Riott Squad or Liv2Riott – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships

And finally, The Riott Squad rounds out this list. Much like Fire ‘N Desire, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan were one of the original teams to go for the tag team gold in the Elimination Chamber match.

The Riott Squad as a trio (including Ruby Riott) has a very sordid past to say the least. The rollercoaster between the three over their time in WWE together is one to analyze. Between being a team, breaking up, Ruby getting injured, singles push fails, Sarah being released, Ruby/Liv reuniting, and then Ruby being released…it is a lot. Among it all, whether it was Sarah and Liv or Ruby and Liv there is no question they should have been tag champs at some point.
