According to WWE.com, former Divas champion Paige (real name Saraya-Jade Bevis) has been suspended for 30 days for violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.
The surprise suspension will officially begin as of Thursday, August 18th, 2016.
WWE had this to say about the incident:
“WWE has suspended Saraya-Jade Bevis (Paige) for 30 days effective tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 18, for her first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.”
The suspension comes on the same day as the Brit’s 24th birthday, and follows her current boyfriend Alberto Del Rio’s suspension that also took place today.
Paige has had a very promising career as she managed to be the first Superstar to capture the NXT Women’s Championship as well as becoming the WWE Divas Champion on her WWE debut.
On top of this, Paige took on a starring role in the latter half of Total Divas’ third season, and has remained in her prominent position since.
