In the latest in a series of unfavorable news for TNA, PWInsider is reporting that TNA President Billy Corgan has filed a lawsuit against the company’s Chairman Dixie Carter, as well as her husband Serg Salinas, TNA Chief Financial Officer Dean Brodhead, Impact Wrestling and it’s parent company Impact Ventures LLC.
Currently, there are little details as to what the lawsuit exactly pertains to but the reports adds that Corgan filed and was granted a restraining order, as well as a hearing for a temporary injunction set for October 20th, 2016 which will include a six-person jury to look over the case.
Corgan first joined the TNA as a senior executive producer in April 2015 and would later be named the new TNA President in the summer of the following year. Corgan has gone to say he was interested in purchasing TNA come Bound for Glory 2016 but a deal was never reached. In addition, Corgan has also admitted to have provided funding for previous rounds of Impact Wrestling tapings.
During the last set of TNA tapings, Corgan did not provide financial assistance but Dixie did manage to scramble money from an unknown third party for the tapings to take place.
