TNA is ringing in the New Year under new management!

In a press release, courtesy of PWInsider, Canadian based broadcast company Anthem Sports & Entertainment announced they have purchased TNA, forming Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions, LLC. Under this new ownership, Dixie Carter has resigned from her position as Chairman of Impact Venues and will join the Advisory Board of Fight Media Group. The press release also adds Dixie will remain a “minority equity stakeholder” and advisor.

Dixie commented on TNA’s purchase with the following statement:

“Anthem has been a great partner for many years. We have worked hard to find the right company who would acquire TNA, use its strategic influence and have a long-term commitment to the brand. TNA’s incredible fans, talent and staff deserved to see the brand continue to thrive after 15+ years of incredible growth. I’m excited to move to a new position and work with Anthem on their global strategic plan, and I am confident TNA IMPACT Wrestling is going to be a huge part of their success.”

The shift in power comes a night before TNA’s first live episode of Impact and week long set of tapings of 2017.

What do you think will become of TNA under this new Anthem ownership? What are your predictions for tomorrow’s live return of Impact Wrestling? Let us know in the comments below?
