Six-time Knockouts Champion and Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer Gail Kim surprised many fans a few weeks ago when she revealed on Twitter that she was not under contract with Impact Wrestling. Despite this, Gail has referred to Impact Wrestling as her home, telling fans to not worry.
In a new interview with David Penzar of The Hannibal TV, Gail shed some light on of her Impact Wrestling status, revealing she plans on making a television return soon. Highlights of the interview below:
On why she’s been off television: “I have been injured and we didn’t really explained it on television. I’ve just been extra cautious coming back. So I will be back soon.”
On Impact Wrestling’s new management team: “I’m really happy. Honestly, I’ve seen this company go through so many ups and downs and I will have to say when Jeff [Jarrett] was in charge the last time, I felt like that was the best years of TNA. I’m really looking forward to being under his regime again because he just really cares, you know. When you have people that are that caring and passionate, the only thing can be positivity for the talent, for the office, for the people in the environment, so I’m really excited.”
Gail also discusses when she first met her husband, celebrity chef Robert Irvine, and his Restaurant Impossible series.
Gail’s last televised match was back in October, where she took on Maria Kanellis in a No DQ match. Her last televised appearance was in January when she briefly ran into the ring to check on Jade following her Monsters Ball match against Rosemary.
