WWE to reveal all 32 Mae Young Classic competitors this Thursday

Women wrestling fans are all anticipating the summer premiere of WWE’s Mae Young Classic Tournament! Tapings for the 32-women tournament are set to take place later this week on July 13th and 14th at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.

So far, fifteen names have been officially announced for the tournament which include Kairi Sane, Tessa Blanchard, Abbey Laith, Taynara Conti, Jazzy Gabert, Kavita Devi, Toni Storm, Princesa Sugehit, Lacey Evans, Sarah Logan, Bianca BelAir, Piper Niven, Dakota KaiSage Beckett and Rhea Ripley.

In addition to these names, Squared Circle Sirens adds that Mercedes Martinez, Shayna Baszler, Nicole Savoy, Marti Belle, Ayesha Ray, Jessica James, Lei’D Tapa, Miranda, Santana Garrett, Renee Michelle, Barbi Hayden and Deonna Purrazzo are all undergoing medical evaluations for the Mae Young Classic.

The site also reports that new NXT signee Nixon Newell has suffered an ACL knee injury and will no longer partake in the tournament as originally planned.

WWE have now announced that they will be hosting a special Mae Young Classic Parade of Champions this Thursday via Facebook Live at 6:30 pm ET, where the names of the rest of the competitors will be revealed!

The WWE Universe can get its first look at the likes of Toni Storm, Princesa Sugehit, Jazzy Gabert, Rhea Ripley and all 32 Mae Young Classic competitors when they take part in the Mae Young Classic Parade of Champions. The Mae Young Classic begins Monday, August 28th, with the first four episodes available on demand on the WWE Network. The second half of the tournament will be available on demand on Monday, September 4th with the plans of a live finale from Las Vegas on Tuesday, September 12th.
