According to Fightful, former UFC fighter turned pro wrestler Shayna Baszler has signed with the WWE.
Baszler was one of 32 women to have participated in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. She defeated the likes of Zeda, Mia Yim, Mercedes Martinez and Candice LeRae to make it to the finals of the tournament, which was ultimately won by Kairi Sane.
Trained under the likes of UFC Heavyweight Josh Barnett and legendary catch wrestler Billy Robinson, Shayna Baszler has competed for SHIMMER, STARDOM and at AIW Bloodsport last year, captured the promotion’s women’s championship.
Squared Circle Sirens adds that Baszler was backstage at the last set of NXT tapings.
There are current rumors plans that Baszler along with her fellow MMA Horsewomen Ronda Rousey, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir will partake in a feud with WWE’s Four Horsewomen Bayley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks.
