Ultima Lucha Tres began last week and continues this Wednesday. On tap are two Luchadora matches, a ton of men’s matches, and two other matches that inadvertently involve women in the Temple.
Let’s take a look at what’s to come:
Mask vs Hair Match: Fenix vs Marty “The Moth” Martinez
This half of Season Three saw Marty set his sights on Melissa Santos as Melissa and Fenix’s relationship began heating up.
Meanwhile, Mariposa has been watching her brother in the shadows, waiting to see if Melissa was palatable enough to join their family.
Two weeks ago the couple came face to face with Marty and Mariposa in the ring. Fenix and Melissa’s love wasn’t enough to withstand the twisted siblings, however, and Marty and Mariposa won the match, but not without sending a message to Melissa first.
Now Fenix and Marty will meet face to face to settle this rivalry in a Mask vs Hair Match! Will Melissa or Mariposa get involved?
Gauntlet of the Gods 3-Way Match: Cage vs Jeremiah Crane vs Mil Muertes
A love triangle between Catrina, Mil Muertes, and Jeremiah Crane has been brewing all season.
Although Jeremiah was brought to the Temple by Ivelisse, his real goal was to reunite with former lover Catrina. Rejecting his advances, Catrina still played mind games with Jeremiah in order for him to do her bidding.
Fast forward to several months ago and the shocking revelation that Catrina is Captain Vasquez’s daughter. With that reveal came another huge development, Cage’s gauntlet is a gateway for the gods and Vasquez needs to get her hands on it. She tells Catrina to have Mil bring it to her.
Catrina went face to face with Cage to try and grab the gauntlet but she was no match for him. This brought Mil and Jeremiah into the picture and now all three will collide at Ultima Lucha for ownership of the gauntlet. Who will survive and what will it mean for Catrina if she doesn’t obtain this item? Is there a chance that Ivelisse will get involved?
Check out last week’s preview of Ivelisse vs Catrina and Taya vs Sexy Star.
Lucha Underground airs tomorrow night at 8 pm ET on the El Rey Network, with Ultima Lucha Tres airing these next three weeks. Episodes can also be purchased on iTunes and Seasons One and Two are available on Netflix and Amazon.
