According to a report from Squared Circle Sirens, Impact Wrestling Knockout Laurel Van Ness has reportedly asked for her release from the company after the most recent set of tapings. The company has not granted her release yet but the site reports that is expected to so soon.
Laurel Van Ness signed with Impact back in June of 2016 after first making an appearance on Xplosion where she squared off against Jade. Throughout her time with Impact, she aligned herself with Maria Kanellis as part of The Lady Squad and orchestrated a plot to marry fellow Impact Wrestling star Braxton Sutter. Sutter rejected Van Ness during a in-ring wedding which sparked the start of Van Ness’ broken heart bride gimmick.
As seen on this week’s Impact Wrestling (November 30th), Laurel Van Ness defeated KC Spinelli and Madison Rayne in a Triple Threat Match to advance in the first rounds of the Knockouts Title tournament. The title was vacated after TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim relinquished the belt as part of in-ring retirement.
