Impact Wrestling announces new Redemption PPV

Impact Wrestling has announced that they will broadcast a new PPV event titled Redemption on Sunday April 22nd:

This marks the company’s first tent-pole PPV event since 2005, meaning that this is the first time they’ve introduced a new pay-per-view name for one of the major shows since Genesis 2005.

Since 2015, Impact Wrestling has hosted two annual live PPV events: Slammiversary and Bound for Glory. Throughout the year, the company also has aired special themed episodes of Impact Wrestling named after some of their previous PPVs, including Hardcore Justice and Destination X, as well as special monthly pre-taped One Night Only PPVs.

PWInsider reports The original plan for the event was to hold it in Toronto, but no venue was ever officially locked in and Toronto was never officially announced. Redemption is set to take place in Florida.
