Hi guys! My name is Matthew, and I’ll be covering week two of the Mae Young Classic. Last week we kicked off the tournament with four matches. In those matches, Rhea Ripley, Tegan Nox, Lacey Lane and Meiko Satomura all won their individual matches and secured their spot in the second round.
This week, four more first round contests took place. Similar to their predecessors from last week, each of these eight women looked to not only make a name for themselves, but to advance in the tournament. The matches that took place on this episode were:
