The 24/7 Championship changed hands between five different women on the July 18 episode of Raw. Dana Brooke walked in as champion but she would also walk out as the champion making her a seven-time 24/7 Champion (she would be a nine-time but her two victories at house shows are not being recognized).
The breakdown of the title exchanges took place during a six-woman tag team match. On one side of the ring was the team of Asuka, Alexa Bliss, and Dana Brooke. On the other was Doudrop, Nikki A.S.H., and Tamina. Apparently, Brooke forgot to get the 24/7 rules suspended during this match.
The bout started and the team of baby faces were in control. Brooke took out both Doudrop and Tamina on the outside from a crossbody. Reggie appeared to cause a distraction for Akira Tozawa. Tozawa emerged from under the ring with an official to become the new 24/7 Champion.
After entering the ring, Nikki would position Tozawa to take the title for herself after achieving the pin off of the swinging neck breaker to grab her third time with the title. Bliss would enter next and take the title from her once tag team partner. After hitting a DDT, Bliss would become the champion for the first time. That didn’t last long as Doudrop hit a splash to become a two-time champion herself.
The celebration didn’t last long for Doudrop as Tamina super kicked her to become a four-time champion. Lastly, Brooke would get her title back after rolling up Tamina to exit the night the way she started, still as champion. Tamina chased Brooke up the ramp and to the back.
While the chase was on for Tamina, the six-woman tag match was still going on as Nikki was left in the ring for her team. Asuka would emerge and apply the Asuka Lock to which Nikki would eventually tap out.
Also on Raw, Bianca Belair retained her Raw Women’s Title against Carmella and found out her SummerSlam opponent will be Becky Lynch. You can read more on that by clicking here.
