Victoria

At the beginning of the month, Lisa Marie Varon announced she is retiring from in-ring competition this year and that she would be open to booking. She is probably the most famous for her run with WWE, as Victoria. Most of the women from the Attitude Era made returns in last year’s match, except for her and Jazz. If this is the end to her storied in-ring career, she deserves a spot in this year’s Royal Rumble match.

She and Jazz were the best heel characters on the women’s roster from that era. They both deserve some acknowledgment, and this would be a fitting send-off for the nearly 20-year veteran.

Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane participated in last year’s match, replacing Alicia Fox. Since then, she went on to become NXT Women’s Champion at Takeover: Brooklyn IV. She then lost that title to Shayna Baszler at WWE Evolution.

The Pirate Princess has been absent from television since losing her rematch against Shayna Baszler at NXT Takeover: WarGames II. Entering the Royal Rumble would be a good way to put her back on the main stage.

Based on name recognition alone, she seems like an obvious pick. She is probably the most well-known women’s wrestlers left from NXT among WWE fans because she’s been in previous main roster pay-per-view events. That gives her the slight edge over other possible entrants, like Mia Yim or Io Shirai.
