Friday will see SHINE Wrestling return to the Orpheum in Ybor City, Florida for SHINE 25, with three championship matches announced for the show.
Originally intended to be a three-way dance, an ankle injury to Ivelisse has made the SHINE Championship match a one-on-one contest between current champion Mia Yim and Nevaeh, who many will argue was robbed of title glory at SHINE 23, and who will have the backing of her Valifornia cohorts at ringside. To make things even more exciting, the match has been given a two out of three falls stipulation.
In the tag division, number one contenders The Kimber Bombs (Kimber Lee and Cherry Bomb) will take on SHINE Tag Team Champions Legendary (Malia Hosaka and Brandi Wine) with the belts on the line, having defeated the champs in six-woman action at the previous show. What’s more, as per SHINE VP Lexie Fyfe‘s announcement earlier this month, due to unsavoury behaviour from the reigning champions in previous title defenses, this time round the belts will be able to change hands via disqualification.
Also, in a surprise addition to the card, the NWA World Women’s Championship will be defended at a SHINE show for the first time as new champion Santana Garrett goes up against “Portugal’s Perfect Athlete” Shanna in singles action, while also announced on the undercard is the in-ring return of Jessicka Havok, as she faces off with Valkyrie once again, this time against their corpsepaint-clad puppet Su Yung. More matches are likely to be announced leading up to the show.
SHINE 25 will come to us live from the Orpheum in Ybor City, Florida on Friday, March 6th at 9pm ET (2am GMT), and will be broadcast live on iPPV. To order the show, click here.
