Leading up to the historic main event Iron Man match between Bayley and Sasha Banks at NXT TakeOver: RESPECT, we’re taking a look back at other moments in which WWE Divas made history.
Today, we’re looking back at 2004, when Lita and Trish Stratus main evented Raw in a Women’s Title match.
This was the first time Divas main evented Raw with no men involved, and Lita and Trish pulled out all the stops to make the match a memorable one. Lita risked life and limb for the chance to become a two-time Women’s Champion, taking out Trish with a suicide dive and eventually hitting a moonsault to pin her and win the title.
