Carmella may have suffered an injury at tonight’s NXT live event in Nashville, Tennessee.
According to Wrestling Inc, Carmella suffered what appeared to be a stinger during her match with Eva Marie. After she took a bump on the back of her head, the referee stopped the match, throwing up the “X” sign that indicates a legitimate injury.
According to reports, Carmella was helped to the back by WWE trainers and was crying in the ring. The crowd was hostile towards Eva after the match stoppage, chanting, “Please retire.”
UPDATE: Carmella appeared at ringside during a live event on Saturday, managing Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady. Reports state that Carmella looked to be fine.
