In a surprise move at what I will call the “Sensational Sherri Memorial Battle Royal”, Naomi was its inaugural winner.
She bested the likes of Natalya and Becky Lynch, as well an NXT-heavy field where we saw Peyton Royce, Kairi Sane, Kavita Devi, Dakota Kai, Taynara Conti and Bianca BelAir also compete and dominate the opening and middle portion of the match.

Absolution was out early, Carmella got the Rosa Mendes treatment, and the biggest shock was seeing Bayley eliminate Sasha Banks only to find out she wasn’t the last woman standing.

In a post WrestleMania interview, Naomi she reflects on her historic victory:
WWE.com also caught up with the NXT Superstars who soaked in on their WrestleMania experience:
The question now becomes what’s going to happen with Naomi? If the trajectory of Cesaro, Baron Corbin and Mojo are any indications, then the win means nothing, and we’re hoping to see her back in a storyline if not the title picture. Also, who’s going to turn on who officially and become heel? Bayley or Sasha? I guess we will have to tune in Monday and Tuesday to see!
Thoughts: B+ surprise entrants from NXT was great, the end swerve well-done, just had an issue with people going out of the ring and not over the top rope to give people space to move like in the Women’s Rumble. Big ups to Naomi for making more history!
