One night after successfully defending the Raw Women’s Title against Nia Jax at Extreme Rules, it has been announced that Alexa Bliss next Raw Women’s Title defense will be at SummerSlam against Ronda Rousey.

During tonight’s (July 16th) Monday Night Raw, Rousey interrupted Bliss’ title defense celebration when she emerged from the crowd to confront Bliss and Mickie James. The duo tried to make a quick getaway but Rousey met the duo at the entrance ramp, unleashing an attack on James.

Rousey then turned her attention to Bliss and nearly trapped the Raw Women’s Champion in an armbar but this brought out Raw General Manager Kurt Angle to stop the attack. He informed Rousey that due to her actions at last night’s Extreme Rules, he would add another week to her initial 30-day suspension – which was set to end this Wednesday.

He then added if Rousey completed her suspension, he would grant her match against Bliss at SummerSlam for the Raw Women’s Title with a warning that if she pulled another stunt simlar to Extreme Rules and tonight’s Raw, the title match would be called off.
WWE’s SummerSlam airs Sunday, August 19th at 7 ET on the WWE Network.
