According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Paige is scheduled to appear on this week’s episode of Raw and SmackDown. This will be the first time she has appeared on television since her role as the SmackDown General Manager ended.
Many fans were upset when WWE removed Paige from her General Manager role, back in December. Paige was a breath of fresh air on SmackDown. The McMahons eliminated the roles of General Ganger on both brands towards the end of last year, to promote a “fresh start.”
It is unclear what Paige will be doing on this week’s shows, but it is more than likely she will be promoting “Fighting With My Family.” The movie is based on Paige and her rise from a British pro wrestler to a WWE superstar. The Rock is an executive producer and also appears in the film that is based on a 2012 documentary on the Knight Family. “Fighting With My Family” will be released nationally in the United States on February 14th and in the United Kingdom of the 27th.
Since her position as GM was eliminated, her role in WWE is up in the air. During Royal Rumble weekend, she spoke to SkySports and said she would like to work as a manager.
“At this point I don’t know,” she said. “I’d love to be a manager for somebody. I don’t know who, but that’s something I’d love to do so I’ll put that out there in the universe.
I just want to be part of the company. I love this company and I love to talk a lot, so give me a microphone and I’ll give it a good old-fashioned try.
I loved being general manager and it was a surprise to me (to stop that) but WWE evolves all the time and you have to evolve and deal with it.”
