The Bella Twins will not be returning to the upcoming ninth season of Total Divas as reported earlier today by Pro Wrestling Sheet. This decision is said to have been made at the end of last season. The original cast members have decided to leave the show to focus on their spinoff show Total Bellas. Total Bellas is currently airing its fourth season.
Ronda Rousey, the current Raw Women’s Champion, has been added to the cast as a replacement. Rousey is seen in the last episode of Total Bellas training with Nikki Bella. First reported by Squared Circle Sirens, Rousey has been filming scenes at her farm during the past few weeks for the show. Nikki Bella is still being reported to stay on as an Executive Producer for Total Divas.
The Bella Twins and Rousey aren’t the only changes that have happened recently to the upcoming season. Lana and Paige will not be returning for the new season. Carmella will be returning after a hiatus from season eight. Nia Jax, Natalya and Naomi will continue their tenure on the show. Sonya Deville is added as previously reported.
The Bella Twins leaving the show will make Natalya the only cast member that has been on every season since it’s inception in 2013. Naomi is the second-longest tenured woman on the show, only missing season five.
