Paige cites Vince McMahon as a go-to for creative frustrations

There have been many reports recently about frustrations with the creative process in WWE. Most notably since WrestleMania the women’s tag team division has taken a back seat to just about everything else. Paige recently talked to The SunSport about this exact problem.

Managing The Kabuki Warriors has been a way to keep Paige on television since the General Manager position has been removed. This team consisting of Asuka and Kairi Sane emerged after WrestleMania declaring to be a force to be reckoned with for the tag team division.

Unfortunately, this promise hasn’t been the case as the team has spent weeks without so much as a peep. Up until a backstage segment on June 18, the team was non-existent since May 14. Over a month without being acknowledged is quite a big deal in the wrestling world.

Paige let The SunSport know that she can always count on Triple H and Vince McMahon to hear out her frustrations and fix whatever situation that may be taking place. She had the following to say:

“If we don’t get used I get really frustrated because we’re a good tag team and we need to be utilized,” she says.

“Sometimes the writers have so much on their plate with everyone else’s storylines, they put things on the backburner. I have to remind them, ‘Ok, but there is a women’s tag team title… I’m like, ‘What the hell dudes? Let’s make something happen.’

She further explains that once she goes to either Triple H or McMahon they are quick to want to fix the situation.

“It frustrates me but once you actually get to speak with Vince and Hunter about your problems and frustrations, they’re always the first to say, ‘Let’s change this.’

She continues, “If you go up to writers it’s like talking to a brick wall sometimes, whereas if you go to Vince and Hunter they’re like, ‘If you have a problem we can change that for you.’

It looks like this worked for her as The Kabuki Warriors recently defeated the Women’s Tag Team Champions, The IIconics. They won this match at a show in Tokyo, Japan just a couple days ago. This has earned them a future title opportunity that has yet to be determined when it will take place.

She finishes up this part of the interview by saying, “So I’m happy we have a boss that really listens to us.”
