WWE announced earlier today that Becky Lynch would have a new opponent for SummerSlam as of tonight’s episode of RAW. In a Fatal-four-way elimination match to determine the number one contender for the RAW Women’s Championship match we now have a new challenger. Natalya will face Becky Lynch at SummerSlam.
The match also included Carmella, Naomi, and Alexa Bliss. Becky Lynch was sitting at ringside in anticipation of who would be her next opponent. A very slow paced match saw Alexa Bliss spending the majority of the time outside the ring hanging out with Nikki Cross.
Carmella attempted to pick up some quick eliminations as she tried several pinfalls on Naomi and Natalya while they were laid out in the ring. Unfortunately for Carmella, she wasn’t able to pick up any three counts. Carmella was the first eliminated by Alexa Bliss.
The majority of the match was back and forth action between Naomi and Natalya. Alexa Bliss attempted to sneak in to steal eliminations. She tried to pin Natalya when she had Naomi in the surfboard submission. Bliss then tried to steal a pin on Naomi as well. Naomi was second eliminated by Natalya.
The match was then down to Bliss and Natalya with nowhere to hide anymore for Bliss. Nikki Cross attempted to help Bliss by grabbing a microphone and yelling at the crowd to cheer for her. Everything was heading for Bliss to pull out a win, however, Natalya was able to lock the Sharpshooter in on her for a submission victory.
After the match, Natalya stated that she was excited to return to her home country of Canada to face her friend. Lynch then grabbed the mic and inticed Natalya in order to get more fight out of her to end the segment.
