As previously reported over the weekend Beth Phoenix was inducted into the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.
This event took place at The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. From there both Phoenix and Natalya reminisced about a time early in their career with the SHIMMER promotion. Natalya accompanied her friend at the event.
Phoenix was with SHIMMER at the start of their shows in 2005 as she had a match on both their Volume 1 and Volume 2 shows. Natalya was with the promotion for their 7th and 8th Volumes. In 2006 during the Volume 7 event, she faced current Assistant Head Coach of NXT, Sara Del Rey.
It is nice to see current WWE talent giving credit to an independent promotion that focuses on women’s wrestling.
Another talent that has had tenure in SHIMMER is current RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
