AEW has previously confirmed that they will unveil their Women’s World Championship belt. This will take place at their next pay-per-view event at All Out on Aug. 31. There was no confirmation on when or who would be in the match to determine who becomes their first champion.
It has been announced by Sport’s Illustrated and confirmed by Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes when this will take place. The first champion will be crowned when AEW debuts on the TNT network on Oct. 2.
Including Rhodes, there are 12 current women on AEW’s roster. With their TV debut just a couple months away, they could certainly add more talent to their growing company. Now that the when has been determined, it is time to find out who will be apart of this history-making decision.
At the time of this writing, there is not a woman’s match scheduled for their upcoming All Out event.
