Triple H says Evolution 2 is still “on the table”

In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Triple H spoke about the rise of women’s wrestling in NXT, the “Women’s Evolution,” and if we are going to see another Evolution PPV.

In the interview, Triple H talks about how the prominence of female athletes outside of WWE helped change the perception of women’s wrestling. With the help of Ronda Rousey, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks, the ‘Women’s Evolution’ changed Divas to Superstars and saw more opportunities given to the female talent.

The rise in popularity led to the first-ever all women’s pay-per-view, Evolution which took place last October.

WWE’s women’s division has been the hottest thing in the company for months and many fans and Superstars have been calling for a second female-only pay-per-view. So the question is will we be seeing another Evolution pay-per-view anytime soon? Here’s what Triple H had to say;

“I think so,” he says. “This year has been such a transitional year with WWE that in the process of a lot of things happening like the switch to Fox, NXT going to USA, there’s been so many crazy things going on, part of the planning process of those things is us not having the bandwidth to do a few of the things that we would have liked to have done this year.

“(Evolution) is still on the table, still up in the air as to what will happen and what will go down. I think it might be a little bit on a delay from when we would have liked to have done it, just because there’s only seven days in a week and 24 hours in the day. There’s only so much we can accomplish and have it be done correctly. You don’t want to half-ass it.”

So in summary, we have to be patient.

We certainly hope that another Evolution pay-per-view is on the cards but there has been no official statement made so far. Afterall there were prior conversations about the Mae Young Classic 3 that haven’t come to fruition just yet either. The closest we got to an announcement for ticket sales for the event were later retracted and said to be done in “error.”
