Beth Phoenix rumored for a Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania

Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix has been a mainstay for the NXT brand as commentator since 2019. Phoenix originally left the squared circle and WWE in 2012. After her induction to the HOF in 2017 she has made several appearances back in the ring.

She participated in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match in 2018 where she was eliminated by Natalya. She made it to the final three in this year’s Royal Rumble match in January.

It is being rumored by the Wrestling Observer that Phoenix will reunite with Natalya to reform The Divas of Doom. The plan is that they will face The Kabuki Warriors for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania.

This would be the second year in a row that Phoenix and Natalya will battle for the tag belts. Last year they were involved in a Fatal 4-Way match which resulted in The IIconics winning the gold.

Phoenix will be returning to RAW on Monday to deliver an update on the health status of her husband, Edge. This update is from the vicious attack that Randy Orton delivered to Edge several weeks ago. This could be a possible starting point for the Women’s Tag Team Title match to come to fruition. Natalya has had recent run-ins with The Kabuki Warriors so she could very well need assistance in the form of Phoenix. Natalya and Asuka will be a part of the Elimination Chamber match on March 8.

At the time of this writing, WWE has not confirmed this possible WrestleMania match.
