Update: Melina has posted on her social media that she has not signed with WWE at this time.
According to PWInsider, former WWE Women’s & Divas Champion Melina has signed with the company. They are stating that they have been told by multiple sources that she is returning to WWE programming within the next week!
Further reports show that they had an interest in bringing her back during the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble match but she was with NWA at that time. It is said that the agreement between her and NWA has since expired. She has not been in a WWE ring since 2011.
Melina did return at the RAW Reunion that took place in July, 2019. She was involved in a backstage segment that involved Kelly Kelly, Candice Michelle and Alundra Blayze with the 24/7 Championship.
Since her time away from WWE, Melina has worked the indie scene before joining NWA in 2019. She is a former five-time champion in WWE by holding the Women’s Title three times (twice from Mickie James, once from Beth Phoenix) and the Divas title twice (once from Jillian Hall, once from Alicia Fox).
At this time, WWE nor Melina herself have confirmed this news.
