IMPACT Wrestling’s Victory Road took place this weekend and featured Deonna Purrazzo defending her Knockouts Championship against Susie. Jordynne Grace took on Tenille Dashwood in the third match of their feud.
Deonna Purrazzo vs Susie
Deonna Purrazzo had a big challenge on her road to Bound for Glory. The Knockouts Champion had to get past Susie. Susie and Kylie Rae have been mixing it up with Purrazzo and Kimber Lee in recent weeks, which lead to Susie getting a title match.
Susie is a tough and tricky opponent. A far cry from her disturbing Su Yung persona but she has been showing signs that her darker side may be returning. If that happened during the match Purrazzo could be in trouble.
The match started with Deonna in charge. The Virtuoso would muscle and bully Susie throughout the majority of the match.
Things would change when snippets of Su Yung would start to appear. Susie would shake Purrazzo with of offence.
Suzie would go for the Panic Switch but Deonna would escape lock in her patented submission hold, the Venus De Milo for the victory.
After the match Purrazzo and Lee would attack Rae and then make her watch as the Virtuosa would destroy Susie’s alreay damaged arm.
This was a good match but the result was inevitable, which took some of the steam out of it. However, the Susie storyline is brilliant and Kylie Rae is about to be introduced to Su Yung.
Deona Purrazzo will only have a few weeks to prepare for her next title defence against Kylie Rae at Bound for Glory on Oct, 24.
Jordynne Grace vs Tenille Dashwood
Also on the card Jordynne Grace took on Tenille Dashwood. Grace and Dashwood have been at odds for sometime both trading wins against each other. Both would be looking to get the victory in the thrid match of the feud.
The match would start with Grace and Dashwood going back and forth. Grace using her strength and power against Dashwood who would use her speed and pose for photos while doing so.
After a period of dominence, Grace would take control and catch Dashwood in a choke. However, Dashwood’s publisist, Kaleb with a K would distract the ref while Tenille tapped. Dashwood would recover and hit the Spotlight Kick for the victory.
Lets get to the winners and losers;
Winner: Deonna Purrazzo
Since arriving on IMPACT The Virtuoso has gone from strength to strength. She dominated the match and remained unfazed when her opponent began to get shots in. Purrazzo is a formidable champion and anyone stepping up is going to have a hard time taking the title from her.
Winner: Tenille Dashwood
Dashwood’s Instagram Influencer gimmick is fantastic aand she is executing it perfectly. Since returning to IMPACT Dashwood seems rejuvinated, passionate and ready to fulfill her potential. After previous stop start career in IMPACT she needs to capitalize on this potential and finally capture the Knockouts Championship.
Loser: Jordynne Grace
Grace has lost the Knockouts Championship and this feud with Tenille Dashwood all in a matter of weeks. It will be interesting to see where she goes from here and with IMPACT’s stacked women’s roster there could be a fear that slips through the cracks.
