Thunder Rose recently lost her NWA World Women’s Championship against Serena Deeb on UWN Prime Time Live. This loss, although to an AEW (Deeb) signed talent, led to some speculations on if Rosa would soon sign with another company.
The President/Owner of NWA, Billy Corgan, has denied any allegations that Rosa is finished with the company and is not a Free Agent. He had the following to say to a fan who questioned if Rosa was moving on:
“No. You have to love press and media reports that don’t contact the company she is under contract to but instead listen to someone who has my email address but doesn’t write and ask. She’s under contract thru 2021 and there’s a reason for that (it’s called excellence and faith) @nwa.”
There were prior rumors that it was a possibility that Rosa was going to AEW or even WWE. AEW was an obvious thought as she has done a lot of work with them recently, including defending the NWA World Women’s Title against Ivelisse on Dynamite. She also had challenged Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Title.
Rosa played along with dirtsheet speculation by the video below saying what is next for her? AEW? WWE? NWA?
Corgan speaking up and saying that Rosa was still signed through 2021 still had some people still not believing it. Now, according to Fightful Select, Rosa has confirmed she is indeed still signed with NWA. She confirmed it personally to Fightful.
Outside of wrestling, Rosa has two fights remaining with Combate Americas MMA. She confirmed further with Fightful that she has been spending more time during the pandemic training for MMA over doing work with wrestling.
She currently also has her Mission Pro Wrestling organization out of Texas which has an upcoming Tournament out of Hell. That will take place on Nov. 6.
