Bianca Belair may be newer to the SmackDown locker room but she isn’t wasting any time eyeing the top of the mountain. In an interview with Ryan Satin for WWE on Fox, Belair explained that now that she shares a locker room with the SmackDown Women’s Champion she wants to know when she is going to be able to fight her. She proudly says that she is ready to get the title.
She had the following to say when asked what she thinks about Sasha Banks:
“I’m excited to now be in the same locker room as Sasha. I think that that’s a dream match for not just me but for a lot of people to see. I think we can get in the ring, create a lot of magic, and you know she has just done a lot of monumental things alongside Bayley for the women’s division – in NXT and they just had the Hell in a Cell match, which was crazy.
She has a lot of momentum going and getting this title and I feel like I have a lot of momentum coming in and debuting on SmackDown. Now that we’re on the same playing field and in the same locker room, I am just trying to figure out when I can fight Sasha. I am trying to get the title. I am trying to be the SmackDown Women’s Champion.”
With Survivor Series just a couple of weeks away, Belair qualified as the first member of the SmackDown Team for the traditional five-on-five match. She won this spot by defeating Billie Kay and Natalya in a Triple Threat last week. She debuted the week before in a dominating performance against Zelina Vega.
Are you ready to see Belair face Banks? Banks is defending her newly won SmackDown Women’s Title against the former champion Bayley on tonight’s show.
