Bayley feels that Peyton Royce is a future star

The former SmackDown Women’s Champion is speaking very highly on the former IIconic member, Peyton Royce. Royce may be a former Women’s Tag Team Champion but has she really reached her star power in WWE? According to Bayley she feels that all Royce needs is that opportunity to shine bright.

While speaking with Table Talk podcast, Bayley says how she came to know Royce after being roommates alongside Billie Kay. Not only did she get to become friends with her outside of the ring but learned how much talent she possessed inside the ring.

“I’ve always seen something in her,” said Bayley.  “I was like, wow dude, you’re incredible. I’ve always had an eye for her (since then).”

She confirms the feeling that once Royce does get the chance she will exceed all expectations. She may have finally won gold in WWE with Kay but as we know, that title reign was far from highlighted.

“She just hasn’t had the time to show that even when IIconics were the Tag Team Champions, Bayley adds. She just hasn’t had that spotlight yet. It kills me that she hasn’t had that yet.”

If there is one thing that Bayley knows about, it is being a champion. Although she is no longer the SmackDown Women’s Champion, she does hold the longest reign. She also was held both that title and the tag titles at the same time alongside Sasha Banks.

As for Royce, it was previously rumored that she was going to receive a singles push. This would have been the logical sense of why The IIconics are no longer a team. However, since the break-up, Royce hasn’t exactly received that alleged push.

She received a non-title match with RAW Women’s Champion Asuka in September that ended in a disqualification. Since then she hasn’t been pushed towards the singles title pictured. Instead, she has strangely been in a tag team with Lacey Evans.

Royce did receive a big moment at Survivor Series. She pinned Bayley in the traditional five-on-five match causing the former SmackDown Women’s Champion to be eliminated first. This was a great way to put Royce over, however, there was no follow up from this on RAW.
