Charlotte Flair’s name has become very prominent recently as rumours and reports surround the plans for her return to WWE.
Charlotte has been absent from WWE since June when she took time out for elective surgery. On Dec, 3rd Charlotte tweeted that she was going to finish the year strong. The post seemed to suggest that her return to TV is imminent.
Just three days ago Wrestlevotes rumoured that Charlotte would be returning with her real-life fiance, Andrade. As much as that pairing could be fun, it no longer seems to be the plan.
TalkSPORT and Inside the Ropes are reporting that the on-screen partnership between the couple will not be happening as the plans for Charlotte’s return are “locked in”.
According to the reports, Charlotte insisted that WWE established long-time plans before she returned. The reason for this demand is to avoid the confusing and frustrating booking she received during her championship run in NXT.
The WWE landscape has changed a lot since Charlotte left. RAW and SmackDown no longer take place at the Performance Center and Superstars changed brands in the WWE Draft. Charlotte’s return to RAW would give a much-needed boost to the red brand’s women’s division, which has lacked star power in her absence.
