When Sonya Deville swaggered back onto WWE television looking like a million bucks in a black three-piece suit it was clear she meant business. But instead of getting back in the ring, she has been taking care of business from a role of authority.
Since returning to SmackDown on January 1st Deville assumed a position of leadership backstage. Despite Deville fitting perfectly into the role, questions surrounding her in-ring return remain.
Appearing on WWE’s The Bump, the panel asked Deville about what her in-ring future looked like and Deville gave an intriguing answer..
“I don’t know right now. I like rocking my suits, my three-piece suits every week and calling the shots. I mean, I think being in charge is something that kind of comes natural to me. I’m a born leader, so I like this new role. But you know I’m Sonya Deville, and I’m a fighter at the end of the day, and obviously, I love to get down and get dirty, and I like to kick ass, and I’m sure everything will come full circle eventually.”
Deville last wrestled on August 23rd at last year’s SummerSlam, where she lost a “Loser Leaves WWE Match” to Mandy Rose.
