Peyton Royce makes a powerful statement on RAW Talk and demands to face Asuka

Ever since The IIconics were forced to break up last August, Peyton Royce has struggled to find her footing on the RAW brand. What made matters worse is her former partner Billie Kay was traded to SmackDown during the WWE Draft in October. Since then, Royce had been in a tag team with Lacey Evans and became an afterthought once Evans was thrown into a storyline with Charlotte & Ric Flair.

The rumor was always that the reason for the split of The IIconics was to push Royce as a singles competitor. Placing her with Evans caused this notion to go right out the window. Now, Royce is fed up. She was on tonight’s RAW Talk and had a lot to say.

“I’m not here to hide my talents. In fact, my talents are hidden behind the opinions of others. But why not just let me go? Just let me go and see what happens. You know our RAW Women’s Champion Asuka she’s injured right now and yes, that sucks for her. But when talent goes down that opens up a spot and that spot is massive, so why not me? Why does it always have to be the same old, same old??

You know I packed up my life, I moved across the world, I set up in a completely different country with not much of a support system to chase this dream. To what? To get stuck in the locker room watching other women do what I do better than 98% of them. And the other 2%? Well, I sure as hell give them a run for their money.

It actually hurts, when you know deep in your soul you are destined to be where you are, striving for what you feel you deserve…you know my potential haunts me. When you’re striving for something that you feel you really deserve….this is where I’m meant to be and my patience has been running thin for quite some time.

So stop wasting my time and give me Asuka.”

Where does this leave Royce with only Fastlane left before the biggest show of the year, WrestleMania? Other women are throwing their names in the ring as of last week starting with Charlotte Flair.

On tonight’s RAW, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke appeared to want a shot at the RAW Women’s Title as well. In a backstage segment, even though they are a team, they announced their want to become the RAW Women’s Champion. Flair, who challenged Asuka for WrestleMania last week, approached the duo and let them know they have five weeks to prove they want a shot at Asuka. She hopes that their bite is as strong as their bark.
