On this week’s AEW Dynamite, Tay Conti picked up a huge win against Nyla Rose. It was a much needed win for Conti to achieve over Rose as she was 0-2 in singles match against her heading into tonight. She picked up this win after delivering the DD-Tay to get the three count.
Post-match things broke down as Vickie Guerrero trips up Conti which allowed Rose to attack her. She went for the Beast Bomb but AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida came down to make the save with her kendo stick. After a blow to the back of Rose, Shida stayed on her and delivered several punches before The Bunny made her way to the ring.
The Bunny picked up the kendo stick and attacked both Shida and Conti. Matt Hardy made his way to the stage with The Butcher and The Blade. Hardy took to the mic and said that the recent Women’s Champion Eliminator Tournament was terrible. It was a scam because The Bunny wasn’t in it. His clients have been looked over for far too long.
Next week Hikaru Shida and Tay Conti will take on The Bunny and Nyla Rose.
Conti took over the top spot on this week’s rankings.
Jade Cargill also had a great video promo where she targets Red Velvet. She says that Velvet made the biggest mistake of her career by getting in her face and that it was a joke. Cargill is on the path to greatness and Velvet is just the pit stop on her way to the throne.
Dr. Britt Baker also had a segment where she addressed everyone who witnessed her historic main event with Thunder Rosa last week. Baker says that Rosa should be thanking her because she will be remembered now.
“You had the audacity to stand here. In my company. In my division. And say that you put the women on the map. Then why is everybody talking about me?”
She says she doesn’t need the legends of the business to give her admiration and calls out Mick Foley. A thanks for his thumbs up to her but according to Baker it took him 20-years to become a hardcore legend whereas it took her only one night.
Baker concludes by saying she put AEW on the map but those three letters come second to D.M.D.
