On this week’s IMPACT the Knockouts Tag Team Championships were fought for in a rematch between the champs Fire ‘N Flava against Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering. After a very short reign as champs for Grace and Ellering, Fire ‘N Flava regained the titles becoming the only team as a whole to win the titles more than once.
This has caused some dissension between Grace and Ellering. Moreso on the side of Grace where she doesn’t seem to be acting like herself lately. Prior to their rematch, Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K were backstage still in a search for a tag team partner.
Dashwood had her eye set on Taylor Wilde since Wilde’s return. However, last week Wilde went missing so now Dashwood has been trying to recruit Ellering. Grace was able to interject in the conversation and stop Ellering from answering Dashwood.
As for the tag team rematch, Fire ‘N Flava were able to take down Grace & Ellering to retain their titles. Tasha Steelz took out Ellering with a DDT on the outside of the ring to then have the numbers game advantage. As Grace was fighting off Kiera Hogan she planted her onto the mat but Hogan kept ahold of a sleeper hold. This allowed Steelz to go up top to hit the frog splash on Grace to get the pin for the win.
Fire ‘N Flava couldn’t celebrate their win too long as they were notified by Scott D’Amore that they will be defending their titles at the upcoming Against All Odds event. This time against Kimber Lee and Susan.
Moving on to the Knockouts Title. We know that Rosemary will be challenging the champion Deonna Purrazzo at Against All Odds. However, Havok isn’t happy about that and she wants in on it too. She approached Rosemary backstage and this encounter led to a match between the two of them booked for next week. If Havok wins against Rosemary then she will be added to the match for a Triple Threat.
When being interviewed after this news, Purrazzo states that it doesn’t matter how many challengers she has because the odds will be forever in The Virtuosa’s favor.
IMPACT also announced that fans will be returning to their upcoming big pay-per-view Slammiversary on July 17.
Fightful Select also has a report on Lady Frost appearing during a recent IMPACT taping. It is being reported that she has had a short match and as of now isn’t signed to the company. She has worked many matches for many different companies on the indie scene, AEW, ROH, and has had a match against Asuka on RAW in 2018.
