STARDOM crowned the winner of this year’s Cinderella Tournament. Saya Kamitani defeated Maika in the finals of the tournament when she pinned her after a Phoenix Splash.
The final was a thrilling and breath-taking affair, with both Kamitani and Maika putting it all on the line. The member of the Queen’s Quest lived up to her moniker of “Shooting Star” as she bested the Donna Del Mondo powerhouse.
Earlier on in the night, Kamitani defeated Himeka in the semi-finals while Maika pinned Unagi Sayaka to make it to the finals.
Also, on the card, Syuri challenged Utami Hayashishita from the World Of STARDOM Championship. The match went to a thirty-minute draw after a double count-out and is a sure-fire match of the year contender.
The rest of the results from the card were;
- AZM & Natsupoi defeated Tam Nakano & Giulia and Mina Shirakawa & Momo Watanabe in a 3-Way Tag Team Shuffle
- Natsuko Tora, Kaori Yoneyama, Saki Kashima, Ruaka & Konami of Odeo Tai defeated Starlight Kid, Mayu Iwatani, Rin Kadokura, Hanan & Koguma of STARS in an Elimination Match.
The tournament began on April 10 and was scheduled to finish on May 29. But due to the Japanese government announcing a state of emergency, the tournament was delayed.
