WWE’s Hell in a Cell took place at a different time of the year than normal. The event, which normally takes place in October, took place on June 20 and fans witnessed the fourth time the women stepped inside the structure. A match that many didn’t think would see the Hell in a Cell structure due to the late booking announcement.
In this match, Bianca Belair was victorious against Bayley to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
With Belair being placed in this match she has become the only woman outside the Four Horsewomen who has participated in a Hell in a Cell. This was Bayley’s second time after she was defeated by Sasha Banks in 2020. Banks holds the record with three times as she faced Charlotte Flair in the first-ever women’s HIAC match and Becky Lynch in the second.
WWE has released a video with Bianca behind the scenes before the match. She has had quite the 2021 so far. Belair started the year by winning the Royal Rumble match, she then main-evented night one of WrestleMania where she won the SmackDown Women’s Title for the first time in her career, and now she has retained her title in Hell in a Cell. What’s next for Bianca?
