Thunder Rosa is AEW’s latest signing.
The promotion took to Twitter to announce the long-awaited and much-anticipated arrival of ‘La Mera Mera’.
Rumour and speculation surrounding Rosa’s contract status with NWA were prominent ever since her surprise debut in AEW last year.
When Thunder Rosa appeared on AEW as NWA World Women’s Champion last year, she played a huge role in elevating the women’s division.
Her rivalry and resulting ‘Lights Out’ match with Britt Baker was a ground-breaking and history-making moment.
She continued to appear for AEW throughout the year while an NWA wrestler. When the promotion returned Rosa wrestled for both. Recently she made a shocking appearance at IMPACT! Wrestling’s Slammiversary to face Knockout’s Champion Deonna Purrazzo.
As AEW, NWA, IMPACT Wrestling continue to work together we could still Thunder Rosa compete for multiple promotions. But for now ‘La Mera Mera’ is officially ‘All Elite’.
