Kay Lee Ray wins in her NXT debut; Mandy Rose offers her help to Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne

Mandy Rose continues to have her eye on the team of Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne.

Since Rose’s return to the NXT brand, she has scouted both Dolin and Jayne and has been seen backstage conversing with them. As a result, the two have formed a new tag team. Dolin picked up her first win in singles action last week, but as a tag team, they still need some guidance. In a match against Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro, Dolin & Jayne weren’t able to get the win. Catanzaro put away Jayne with a pin after the 450 splash

After the match, Catanzaro & Carter are ready to get a shot at the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles. In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Team Ninja says they haven’t been seeing the tag champs (Io Shirai & Zoey Stark) around lately but regardless, one way or the other, the titles are coming to them.

As for Dolin and Jayne, they were backstage where an interviewer was trying to get a word from them. They weren’t interested in commenting about their loss, but they did run into Mandy Rose. Rose made an offer to them that they seemingly took. She stated, “Ladies if you never want to feel like this again, come with me. And never look back.” The duo followed her to end the segment. What does Mandy have planned?

The second women’s match of the week was Kay Lee Ray officially making her in-ring debut with NXT as a member of the NXT US brand. KLR debuted on Sunday at TakeOver where she came out to the stage after Raquel Gonzalez retained against Dakota Kai. She didn’t have to say anything to let Gonzalez know she will be coming for her.

Tonight, Ray faced off against Valentina Feroz. The longest-reigning NXT UK Women’s Champion showed she is here to stay on the NXT US brand as she delivered a Gory Bomb to pick up the victory.

Some other moments involving the women’s roster took place on this week’s NXT.

The NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez talked about her victory against Dakota Kai from TakeOver. Gonzalez knows that her feud with Dakota isn’t over.

She commented on KLR making her way onto the NXT brand. Gonzalez says she has been waiting for her to make the trip across the pond. She adds she will continue to do what she has been doing and doesn’t care who challenges her and how they go about doing it.

Franky Monet then showed up with the Robert Stone Brand. Monet says she isn’t going to wait in line for her championship shot. It appears that KLR isn’t the only one with her eye on the champion.

Lastly, we have a wedding to prepare for. InDex got engaged last week after Indi Hartwell got down on one knee and proposed to Dexter Lumis. They have had their first date, tagged together which led to a proposal, and next is the big day. The couple will tie the knot on the Sept. 14 edition of NXT. It is a wrestling wedding, what could go wrong? Right?!
